Give the checking team a current reference: your approved specification, sample and the features to assess. We coordinate agreed checks and sampling, record findings and discuss supplier issues before you approve international dispatch.
Explore this serviceNeed to check goods before they leave China?
Use this service when you need evidence to decide whether goods match the order or an approved sample. The scope follows the issues that matter to your business. Useful inspection details include:
- The supplier order, approved specification version and quantities
- An identifiable approved sample or reference images, where available
- The checks, agreed measurement points and photos you need
- The goods’ current location and your planned dispatch stage
Define what a pass looks like
A useful check starts with the order specification. Confirm the product, variants, quantities and the issues that matter to your business. The inspection scope and sampling method belong in the quotation.
- Model, colour, size and quantity against the approved specification version
- Visible condition and packaging checks
- Agreed measurements, sample references and functional checks
- The photos and findings needed for your dispatch decision
Keep inspection and compliance requirements clear
Visual checks and sampling cover the agreed inspection scope. Product safety, laboratory testing and market-specific documentation need their own requirements. Tell us about the product’s intended use and any testing or document needs before purchasing.
Choose the next step with the evidence in front of you
If a check identifies an issue, record the affected items and supporting images. We can coordinate the supplier discussion about replacement, return or another proposed resolution. Supplier agreement and any extra handling or transport costs are confirmed before action.
- Keep affected stock identifiable while the issue is reviewed
- Compare the finding with the approved specification or sample
- Confirm the proposed remedy and who pays the associated costs
- Record your decision to hold, return, replace or dispatch
Keep the checking reference current
A useful finding identifies which requirement was checked. Share the specification version, approved sample reference and any agreed measurements or acceptance notes. If the order changes, identify who approves the revision and which checking instructions must change before work begins.
- Product and variant references matched to the approved brief
- Measurements or comparison points agreed for the particular check
- Photos and findings labelled with the item or carton reference
Agree the checks and the release decision.
The service scope sets out what will be checked, the quantity or sampling method and how findings will be recorded. Review the findings before approving release. If there is a discrepancy, confirm the supplier’s proposed remedy, handling costs and your next instruction before action.

A few useful answers.
Will every item be inspected?
The quotation defines the inspection scope. Sampling and a full item check are different services, so confirm the quantity to be checked and the method before work begins.
Can you compare goods with a sample?
Sample comparisons can be included in the brief. Identify the approved sample and the features to compare, such as measurements, material appearance, colour or packaging.
Do quality checks prove a product is compliant in the UK?
An inspection report covers the checks that were agreed. UK product requirements depend on the goods and market. Identify the applicable documentation and testing needs separately before placing the order.
Can you return faulty goods to a 1688 supplier?
We can coordinate return and exchange discussions while goods are in China. Supplier acceptance, return conditions, costs and replacement timing are confirmed for the particular order.
Which specification should be used if my order has changed?
Identify the version you approved for this purchase and record the changes from the earlier brief or sample. Agree who authorises the revision and which checks, quantities and comparison points apply before inspection begins.
Does a repeat order need a new checking brief?
Review the brief for the new goods, quantities and risks. Keep any previous issue visible and confirm whether the same checks remain suitable. The inspection scope and reporting requirements are agreed for the current order.
